Privacy Policy for ClassCharts
ClassCharts helps university students create and manage class schedules. This Privacy Policy explains what data we use, why we use it, and the choices you have.
ClassCharts is built with a privacy-first approach. We only collect data required to make the app work and avoid unnecessary tracking or analytics.
1. Information We Access and Use
ClassCharts can be used without creating an account. Core features of the app work by connecting directly to your university backend to display your schedule.
To provide these features, ClassCharts may access:
- University schedule information retrieved through your university backend connection.
If you choose to create an account to use optional features (such as schedule sharing or multi-device sync), we may also store basic account information such as an email address and securely hashed password.
2. Optional Schedule Storage
By default, we focus on showing your schedule from your university backend. We only store your schedule in our cloud when you choose to use optional features, such as:
- Shared schedules are visible only to users you explicitly choose to share with.
- Syncing your schedule across your own devices.
We store schedules only when needed for these optional features and only when you choose to use them.
3. No Ads and No Data Selling
- ClassCharts does not run advertising.
- ClassCharts does not sell your personal data.
- ClassCharts does not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use cloud infrastructure providers only for hosting and technical operation of ClassCharts. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service, not for their own marketing use.
5. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as needed to provide ClassCharts features and maintain service reliability. Optional stored schedule data can be removed when you disable related features or request deletion.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
- All communication with our servers is encrypted in transit.
- Sensitive data stored on our servers is protected using modern security measures.
- User passwords are securely hashed and salted before being stored.
While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your Choices
- You can choose whether to use schedule sharing.
- You can choose whether to use multi-device schedule sync.
- You can request deletion of optionally stored schedule data.
8. Children's Privacy
ClassCharts is intended for university students and is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do,
we will update the Effective date
at the top of this page.
